Rutgers Summer AP Institute is open to prospective, new and experienced AP teachers.  You are encouraged to register early as each class size is limited and registration will be accepted on a space-available basis.

Individual non-credit registration, including lunches and workshop materials, is $1025.00.

*The fee for any registrations 14 days or less from the start date of a class is $1050.00*

Teams of 3 or more teachers from the same district may register together for the special team rate of $900. Please contact the AP Institute at for more information.

Registration Process

To register for the AP Institute for Continuing Education Units(CEUs):

Please go to Course Information and click on the 'REGISTER' button for the AP Institute you would like to attend. You will then be taken to the automated registration system where you will be required to create a username and password. PURCHASE ORDERS along with credit cards and checks(E-check) are accepted through the checkout process. You must have your Purchase Order number prior to registering to confirm proof of payment. Registration is not complete until you register online through our system.

To register for the AP Institute for Graduate credit:

Please contact the AP Institute at for information on how to register for graduate credit at this time.

***For those taking an AP Institute to earn 3 non-degree graduate credits, the deadline to register is June 18, 2014.  Late registration is available until June 30, 2014 with additional late fees of $125 assessed.  For a three-credit course the tuition for in-state is $1944.00 ($648 per credit) and $3213 for out-of-state ($1071 per credit).  Students also pay a $154.75 student summer session fee. There is no discount for credit tuition.  Participants who register for graduate credit will be required to complete an additional written assignment to be submitted in the weeks following the workshop. Acknowledgement of Enrollment

When your completed registration is received, you will be either enrolled in the course or placed on a waiting list if the course has been filled. In either case, you will receive notice from Rutgers University. Please be sure to include the email address you wish to be contacted at in the online registration system. Cancelation/Refund Policy

A full refund less a $50 processing fee will be issued for cancelations received in writing until 15 days prior to the start date.  From 14 days prior, substitutions can be made but refunds will not be issued.
