The course will use previously released AP Exam questions and other resources to explore the most challenging topics and skills within the AP Physics C curriculum, with the focus on teaching conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and data analysis skills. The resources will include those created by the College Board (AP Classroom, AP Teacher Community, Course and Exam Description) as well those created by the AP Physics teachers. The use of calculus throughout the course will be emphasized. The lab component of the course and the pre-exam review strategies will be addressed to participants. The scoring of the AP Exam during the Reading process, and the score-maximizing tips will be presented as well. The instructional activities discussed will address both online and face-to-face teaching modes.
The participants will be encouraged to share their own ideas, including favorite classroom strategies, problems, demos, lab investigations and resources. The instructor will be available during office hours for individual and small-group discussions of various topics of interest.
