Chinma Uche is a Mathematics and Computer Science teacher at CREC Academy of Aerospace and Engineering. She was a founding member of the Connecticut chapter of CSTA and served as the President of the Association from 2009 to 2018. Chinma is a College Board’s AP Computer Science Principles Consultant and a Code.org CSF Facilitator, positions in which she trains Computer Science teachers. She served for four years as a member of the AP CS Principles Development Committee.
Chinma also served as a member of the CSTA Board, and of the CSTA K-12 Curriculum Task Force. She is an adjunct faculty at Quinnipiac University and Sacred Heart University, a 2015 CREC Teacher of the Year (https://goo.gl/kXbsEl), a Connecticut Teacher of the Year semi-finalist, and a 2018 O’Toole Education Leadership awardee. Chinma holds a Ph.D. from Imperial College, London.
